Adopt an Elephant
"Icholta was abandoned when she become stuck in the mud of a drying water hole. Her mother could not free her and eventually had to leave Icholta behind. Thankfully she was rescued and taken into expert care at a sanctuary in Nairobi, Kenya. She was moved to Tsavo East National Park to begin the long process of rehabilitation back into the wild. She is a friendly elephant who has always been a favourite with the keepers. Your unique gift pack will include: ? RIB Powerboating
"This thrilling experience takes place aboard a 7.5m high performance RIB. Each participant will be given the opportunity, under supervision, to drive this powerful craft for approximately 10 minutes in order to experience its power, manoeuvrability and versatility. Your programme on the day: 9:00am - Arrival, tea and coffee 9:15am - Safety briefing, breathable foul weather gear and lifejackets fitted. 9:30am - Leave marina, hands on instruction in low speed driving technique. 10:00am - Reach unlimited speed area, skipper demonstrates the full potential of the RIB at speed and in waves. Participants are given hands on instruction in high-speed technique. 11:45am - Return to Marina, further low speed instruction. 12:30pm - Arrival, leave at leisure. One Day Gliding Experience
"After meeting your qualified instructor and briefing on the flight ahead it climb aboard and strap in. Your glider will be hooked up to a tug aircraft and towed to 2000 feet or higher, far better than short winch launch experiences. Watch as the tug pulls you and your instructor way up into the blue. Once you are high up in the air, the instructor will pull the release handle and you are then gliding for real. Your instructor will demonstrate the controls before you take control and search around the skies for the odd thermal to keep you up longer. Floating through the skies in virtual silence, gliding is the ultimate in relaxed flying. Soon it will be time to join back at the airfield by floating down for a landing. "This experience is available for up to five people but you can come on your own if you wish (not in your best clothes!). One of our Animal park staff will look after you for your ?MAGIC experience? and take you on a behind the scenes tour for approximately 1½ hours. You will get the opportunity to meet and feed many different types of animals including zebras, camels, birds, reptiles and meerkats. Every tour is different and the animals you will meet will depend on new arrivals and births. You are welcome to come early and stay late around your tourto enjoy some of our daily animal events, take in a show or have fun on our rides and attractions.
